VOICE LIKE A TRUMPET

Overcoming Through Speaking Truth

BY MICHAELA L. SCOTT

Some stories are difficult to tell. Others have been waiting a lifetime to be spoken.

A deeply personal testimony about faith, speaking truth, and refusing to let the past have the final word.

Voice Like a Trumpet by Michaela L. Scott paperback book

ABOUT THE BOOK

In Voice Like a Trumpet, Michaela L. Scott reflects on childhood, family, faith, sexual abuse, and the experiences that shaped the woman she would become. Moving from childhood to adulthood and ultimately into priesthood, she revisits memories once understood through the eyes of a child and examines the choices, relationships, beliefs, and experiences that followed with the clarity that comes from looking back and speaking truth.

But this is more than a story about what was done to her. It is a story about truth. About confronting silence, questioning the things we have been taught to accept, and examining what can happen when painful truths are acknowledged but never fully confronted.

Rooted in the biblical power of testimony, Voice Like a Trumpet is an intimate Christian memoir about abuse faith, truth, discernment, and overcoming. Through personal reflection and spiritual revelation, Michaela considers not only what happened, but what it meant, what it affected, and what God revealed through it. Ultimately, hers is a testimony of refusing to let what happened have the final word.
